Strategic Insight

"Pressure does not create behavior. It reveals it."

What We Learned

Pressure doesn’t change who you are — it exposes who you already are. Most people’s responses under stress come from defaults programmed decades earlier, not their actual intentions. Identifying your specific “pressure entry point” — where your system breaks first — is the first step to intervening before falling back into the old pattern. Kashaun also draws a sharp line between accountability and ownership: accountability is assigned, ownership is assumed, and the people who actually change are the ones who own the outcome regardless of who’s technically at fault.

Notable Observation

Kashaun frames the difference between a wound and a scar as the real measure of whether pressure has been processed — living from a wound means the past is still running your behavior, while living from a scar means the experience became instruction instead of a trigger.

Why We Invited

I invited Kashaun Cooper because he treats pressure as diagnostic information rather than something to just manage or suppress — his Pressure System Index gives leaders a concrete way to see their own default patterns instead of just being told to "stay calm under pressure."
